Leslie Lello was born in Manhattan, and enjoyed the urban life until 5 when she was swept in to the suburban jungle of Ridgewood, NJ.
Always having an interest in theatrics, her parents indulged that side of their daughter with trips to New York City to see Broadway shows and patiently acquiescing to be audience members for her frequent one-child solo acts of Annie, Cats and other Broadway favorites in the family kitchen.
Little did they know that their darling would later go on to major in theater arts at Hunter College in Manhattan, during which time she became heavily involved in the improv comedy scene in New York, working at the world famous Chicago City Limits Theater and serving as a founding member of Nothing Sacred Improv Group.
She moved to Los Angeles after college and has been involved with the film industry ever since.
She started as a personal assistant to actress Chandra Wilson of Grey’s Anatomy, including driving Ms. Wilson to the audition to the show that made her a star.
What Ms. Lello learned from her time working for Ms. Wilson is that it is important to be comfortable with yourself and the workplace (the film or TV set) in order to be successful. By increasing one’s knowledge, one increases the sense of comfort and flow in professional circumstances.
Ms. Lello has also served as an actress, production assistant, locations assistant, editor, short-project director/producer, and feature film script supervisor. She have also written a number of feature length screenplays.
She has acted, directed and produced several theater and film projects, including “Real vs. Reel” (director/producer/actor) which received great praise at the Garden State Film Festival, Store (actor) which received Finalist standing at the USA Film Festival, and Outside the Box II (actor) which is just really, really funny (under the amazing direction of Jeremy Feig), and has received great praise for her artistic works from several top industry professionals.
Most recently, she has been script supervising feature films such as Eugene, starring Stewart Bennett, and The Commune, starring Chauntal Lewis and Emmy Award Winner, David Lago.
On her free time, she enjoys taking road trips, skiing, biking, getting massages and spending time with her friends and family.
