I’m noticing it’s actually easier to shoot in every city OTHER THAN L.A.
We went into Adventuredome in Circus Circus and shot some interactive improv and nobody bothered us. Very refreshing after being chased out of the Venice Whole Foods a couple months ago for taking a picture of a beautiful homemade pizza.
The reason why is because everyone and their brother is a filmmaker/producer/director/actor/whatever and the collective there is so jaded by the filming experience that they want to call their agent when a 14 year old kid with a Target camera wants to record her brother on the beach and her brother happens to be building a sandcastle in front of someone totally indistinguishable sunbathing 50 feet away.
Anyhoo, more info on the Adventuredome shoot will be posted soon. Woohoo! Good times!

Synopsis:
In the United States, more than 20 million people are either deaf or hard-of-hearing. Justin Garrett’s parents discovered that their son was profoundly deaf at age 2. With that diagnosis, their idealistic dreams for him shattered. Not long after that, so did their family. As a young adult, Justin’s audiologists recommended a cochlear implant. If the surgery went well, it would enable him to hear. An unsuccessful surgery, however, would mean a lifetime of irreversible deafness. In a miraculous turn of events, Justin was then approved for a bilateral (double) cochlear implant – the first time in history a man would undergo such a procedure in Oklahoma. On March 13, 2006, this state-of-the-art surgery changed his life forever. Join him on this incredible journey as Justin seeks a new life in the hearing world.
