American Dream
Had an audition last week for a short film called “American Dream”. Smoked the audition (thank you Bootcamp), but I think I was too old for the roll. I gave Sage-LA my old headshots to mail to non-union castings (while waiting for my new ones to be reproduced) because I had about 200 left and wanted to use them up and thought it would be a good environment to practice what I learned in class before diving into more serious situations. I probably don’t need the practice, but despite knowing in my gut that I was the best camera actor in the waiting room, I was still a bit nervous. Different things come out in different environments. I’d like to work that out before I go for anything where there’s more on the line. My nerves released the moment I saw that they had a camera in the room. Even more when they said they were shooting everyone in a close-up.
